A message from the Service Manager......
"I have seen a couple of cases this summer already of screen washer jets failing due to two different types of screen wash fluid solutions been mixed together, I'd like to share our customers issues to ensure this doesn't happen to you"
"If two different screen wash fluids are mixed together it coagulates and becomes gelatinous in the bottom of the tank and as a result the fluids can't be pumped through the pipes"
"To rectify such a problem results in an hour and a halfs workshop time as the tank and pipes are fed underneath the wheel arch in the inner wing. With parts included the rectification work costs approximately £130."
"Please be aware BMW recommend using their own screen wash fluid only as this is what is provided in your car from production.Our parts department sell the Genuine BMW Screen Wash Fluid at just £2.01 for 500ml."
